Does anyone have or seen a XLT w/chrome bumpers with a black Lariat Sport grille? I'm curious as to how that would look. I'm not crazy about the XLT chrome package grille choice that Ford made for us.

Thanks Bulldog, but this is the grille of which I speak. FWIW I have a black truck.

 

That's the same grill I put on my truck. Makes the front look wider and the center bar lines up with the bar between the headlights.

Yes, I know. What I'm wondering is how it would look on a black truck with a chrome front bumper. And possibly with the 20" Lariat grey 6 spoke sport wheels.

I think it will look okay with the chrome bumper, but much better with a painted one. Go by you're local wrap shop and see what they will charge to vinyl wrap your bumpers. The wheels will look good.

 

If you want an existing example that looks somewhat similar, just look at an XL with the chrome package. The grille style is different, but the colors and general "feel" are pretty similar.

 

Did you ever get the grill painted? I'm curious if the small thin bars remove from the larger 3 bar grill.

 

 

 

 

Thanks for the pictures. I believe I've canned the idea of changing the grille. The chrome package grille has grown on me and since the leveling it looks better. I will be changing the wheels though for some 20" Platinum wheels which I will be putting 275R60/20 Cooper HT's on. I will be going from a 10 ply LT to a 4 ply XL rated tire.
