Respect and appreciation for my 73 f251 camper special. 5.9L v8 360

My brother in law blessed my socks off by selling me his 1973 f250, when I paroled,on a monthly payment plan. It's a beautiful truck and I've always had a thing for old fords. It is the only thing of monetary value in my life. So in turn, i take great care of this blessing. Moments where a blessing feels like a curse happens a little too often, but i love working on her. I have learned alot over the last year with my daily driver, but right now I am completely stumped on my overheating issue. I have replaced: air filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, radiator, thermostat,r ebuilt carb, new vacuum hoses, coolant hoses, belts....bought an engine analyzer, timing gun, vacuum gauge. I followed all steps and procedures from manuals and you guys even more so. Curb idle, timing, carb adjust and tune, dwell, choke and high idle...all these things were set to specs....why is my truck still overheating? I have not replaced my distributor but bought an electronic motorcraft one from a 1978 with a part #D7TE 12127 hoping it's compatible. Has anybody else gone through this and conquered? Just finding the same 18x24 core radiator was a fiasco. Any advice?

I don't have the answer to your question but I just wanted to say that I appreciate your attitude of gratitude and outlook on life. I pray that you continue on this path and find the many more (unexpected) blessings that come with it. Have a great day, my friend.

Is the fan/radiator shroud still in place on the truck to make sure its pulling "good" air? Is your fan clutch working properly? Just a couple of things that come to mind.

Nice truck.
Is the water pump pumping? It's not on your list of replaced/checked components.

Yes agree check water pump and check circulation of heater core as it could be clogged up , you can bypass it and see if it still overheats or not,, but water pump could be out or failing..Have you flushed the block ?

Also by overheating do you mean steaming, blowing coolant out of over flow etc or the gauge/warning lamp is reading over hot?

i have drained so much as what comes out of lower hose when swapping radiators. 3 times....lol. first time pulled radiator and tried soldering. Worked for couple days. Second time same thing. Third time bought and installed wrong radiator cause i needed to get to work and had no other options. 4th time finally found correct fitting radiator, which i picked for $35! It is a 3 rowb

I would hook up a water hose an flush the block as well as flushing the heater core by using the two heater hoses and see if that helps . It could have gotten clogged up just because you drained the system an loosened up sediment .
Another thing is did you changed radiator cap ? If not it may be bad an not holding pressure
