V10 Monster Exhaust

V10 Monster Exhaust
I have a 2007 F350 DRW Supercab with the 6.8L V10 that has a Banks Monster muffler installed on it by the PO which is strange because Banks does not offer a Monster muffler for the 3V V10 engines.
I don't really like the muffler on the V10 because there is a bad drone from it at low rpms. I am considering finding an OEM muffler and replacing the Monster exhaust with that. How quiet was the OEM muffler and was it enormously restrictive? I really want to quiet this thing down as I am not fond of the V10 sound coming out of the exhaust. I have a Banks system on my other truck with a 7.5L and it sounds REALLY good but it is only a percentage louder than the factory muffler. This monster exhaust is not very appealing.
What are some other mufflers that you guys use that have a better tone without the drone?

Is that a Series 70? I had a 70 on a previous 7.5L and I liked the sound. There was a little drone at highway speeds, though.
I listened to to a couple of Jones 3030 XL's on YouTube and I wasn't a fan of the sound at all. Too loud and raspy. I guess I am used to a V8. I shouldn't expect a V10 to sound a V8, though. Might take some getting used to.

Honestly I'm not sure which series it is. The exhaust shop just put a new one in when installing my headers since the previous one was rusted out. Definitely not a V8 noise, which you'll never get from the V10, but there are certain times (throttle position, load, speed) it almost sounds like a tuned diesel exhaust.

I have stock manifolds but a fixed Y-pipe, and a Magnaflow muffler (installed at same time as the Y-pipe). Quite happy with my muffler choice. A bit louder than stock muffler but not much. No drone, which was an absolute requirement for me. I've been running this setup now for about 3 years.

Stock muffler wasn't restrictive, at least on the 2-valve - and I've heard 3-valves with stock exhaust, and they sound pretty decent.
That said, I put a Magnaflow on my '01 V10 2-valve, and I like it - not much louder, even with headers, during normal driving, but a decent sound when I get on it.
