Fox shock guys on 2017 F-450

Any update on adjustable shocks for 2017-2019 F450's with stock front and rear height? I am really not wanting to go with Ranchos and would rather try Fox but need confirmation first.
My truck is my daily driver, so I would like to be able to adjust them for a smoother ride when I am not towing but want to also adjust them when I tow our 22,000lb boat.

I have a 2019 F-350 4x4 Lariat Ultimate FX4 and went with the Carli springs, fox shocks and track bar. It has an awesome ride on and off road. They have other components, leaf spring adds and adjustable pin top fox shocks. Carli makes their components specific to Fords. The only downer is I had to wait 1 1/2 months for them to manufacture and ship to my installer. Good luck

Got my Back Country System from them in less than a week. Just before Thanksgiving this year. It is an incredible good ride. Went with 7” (7,500lb) Air Lift in rear. 20lbs of air took the harshness out of back. 7” bags allow more travel than 6” bags. Do not require as much air pressure

Just wanted to bring this back up and see if anyone has run Fox on their stock height F450 and can give some feedback. Ride quality loaded/unloaded, and service intervals. I picked up a used 2017 and it rides ok empty, but it's very apparent the rear shocks are overdue for replacement once I started pulling a trailer with it. VERY rough in the rear over any type of bump like it's blowing through the stroke right to the bump stops. Multiple rebound cycles after giving a wavy ride. I've read mixed reviews on the Rancho 9000s and how short of a lifespan they have, fair amount of people seem to be happy with Bilsteins, but if a monotube Fox is better I'd probably go that route. Especially since the Rancho and Bilstein are around $100/shock and the fox is only $60 more and I could likely rebuild them when needed at home (rebuild my own powersports shocks).
However, In the application charts Fox lists their front 2.0 monotube shocks for the F250/F350 only. The 2017+ F450 pickup applications only show reservoir options up front. I wonder if Fox feels there are benefits from having the reservoirs for heat dissipation when controlling the additional unsprung weight of the F450 front axle? They also don't list a stock length rear shock...start at 1.5-2.5" lift. I'm sure I could get some F350 shocks that "work", but I'd like to know their reasoning behind what they offer. Edit: the stock length rear shock part number for a F350 matches the part number for the 1.5-2.5" lift on the F450.

I tried fox 2.5 with reservoir and DSC on my 2010 f-450 and found that the stock valving was too bouncy for me.....any way of getting these valved for a very heavy truck config. i.e. a 2019 f-450 with plow and camper package and pretty much operating at 14K GVWR?

That looks like a nice setup, but I'm not looking to do a leveling kit. Only shocks at this time. The 450 isn't my daily driver and gets used towing on the weekends so I'd have to do air bags or lift in the rear to match the level kit. Just way more than I'm looking to do for now.

Might try AccuTune. They say they can custom valve the shocks, and on the order screen it asks for front and rear weight, etc. I've been considering them because of that, but still balk at the $1,500 for just shocks with CDC...

you would think that based on gvwr the part numbers for 259/350/450 would be different due to different valving needs but they valve themselves all the same , which is useless. To send them back in to be recalled takes 12 to 16 weeks. Got rid of the set I had.

Understand, your just looking for shocks. For clarification on CJC Offroad systems for 2017 and up F450, they are achieving a 2.5" front leveling system with longer progressive springs to give a better ride and more travel. No modifications to rear suspension required on a F450 for this 2.5" system that CJC Ofroad has come out with. So if they would sell you just the Fox rear shocks that would satisfy your requirements for the rear on your set up. Now for the front, King will make a shock for your stock set up. You would just have to call them and tell them what you want. I ran across a small shop in Midland TX. that has been performing suspension set ups for over 25yrs. The owner told me he could make up any shock for my application from Fox. Guess he's been around long enough to get the valving correct for any set up.Give him a call,he will make a set for you front and back and send them to you.(Car Werks in Midland TX) The Fox shocks or any shock is simply matching the stroke you need and eyelet diameter can be readly changed for mounting. The hard part is having the correct valving in shock to control the dampening and rebound of your spring and loading of your spring for your application. So simply matching dimensions of a shock you currently have and trying to fit the same measurements is a crap shoot in achieving a good replacement shock on your own as the valving (guts) of the shock is the key. Thats the reason King shocks are expensive because they are basically hand made (internal components for your application) Most people that are looking for a leveling system are F250 or F350 owners looking at adding on larger tires and looking for a 2.5" level kit to achieve this. This is normally achieved by adding a wedge of rubber on top of your existing front coil spring and simply adding a extention to your existing shock mount for your original shocks to work or suppling a longer stroke shock to reach exsiting shock mounts. You do not achieve any extra travel out of these systems or a better ride by just adding a spacer up front..

Sorry for the delayed response, yes we can certainly revalve these shocks to accommodate your extra weight.
