Either a gate or a net will keep cargo in the box. I have both tailgates for my F250, the regular one and a flow thru. The low thru tail gate is pretty cool.

I'll see how it goes, thinking of building a tool box for it at some point to have some place to put groceries or items when we go shopping..

I'm sure you`lll come up with lots of ideas, I've seen some pretty neat storage boxes on vintage trucks. I wish I mounted the gas tank in the box of my 53 instead of under the box at the back, it would have made life a lot simpler.

At least I hadn't already installed a tank before I found out my idea needed to be changed..

I guess I could put my 53 tank inside the pick up box but that takes time and I still have enough to do.

I can't mount a rear bumper which I want plus I don't like the idea of cutting up the box floor boards for the gas fill.

I put the Mustang gas tank underneath the frame at the back like I did with the 56 M100 that I had. Can't find pictures of it tho, may have erased them.

So to put the bumper brackets on is it just dropping the tank to put them on..?

The tank takes up all the room and it`s at the very back of the frame. So far I don't see any way have a bumper and have the gas tank underneath at the very back of the frame.

The brackets bolt to the side of the frame so shouldn't be a problem other than lowering the tank to install the bolts..pictures would help..

I'll check in the spring but I'm not sure if there is enough room for the bolts between the frame and the tank.
