I used to drive 12 hours straight for 2 days when I used to visit my parents in southern Ontario

 

Wow, that is a bit of a drive. I used to drive fair distances, now I no longer even want to think about it.

 

I drove once straight through to Toronto from here and it took 22 hours, only stopped for gas. I would never attempt that again. I get too sore sitting in a vehicle now more than 4 hours and I'll be making one of those trips in another week and a half..

 

Younger people can do things like that, I certainly wouldn`t attempt it now.

 

I took a van full of bootleg CFL inventory from exhibition place in Toronto to Commonwealth stadium in Edmonton in 32 hours and that included the speeding ticket in the Ontario Rcmp speed trap just inside the Ontario border. This was for the 84 grey cup and that was a vicious weather day for that game. It was -25 when the game started and -29 when the game ended.

 

I was half my age when I did that Morris...lol

 

I don't know why they don't start the CFL season in the spring to avoid it being the Arctic Bowl Perry.
I can't even remember that far back.

 

Those - 25 games is what keeps our game Canadian, could you imagine going to a playoff game in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg or Ottawa without a parka on.

I dislike -25 as much as +32, both are pretty hard on my tired body.

 

Still like it the warmth over the extreme cold though..

 

Both keep me cooped up, either in the house or a vehicle. Spring and fall seem to be the nicest seasons depending on the yr.

 

I'm just slower when it gets too hot ...

 

When it is this hot I start out slow and taper off to nuthing.

 

I'm going to start getting ready for sandblasting soon so hope there are a few cooler days..
