It sounds like you are right on it John. We pulled the C4 out of my resto mod 53 yesterday, it`s leaking from the front transmission seal. Tomorrow when I go to town I`ll drop it off at my friend`s transmission shop. Likely I`ll get it rebuilt depending on what it needs.
