I can`t take long walks but they have staff to take me out and remove what parts I want. As well their prices are pretty reasonable most of the time. They pay fair prices for scrape vehicles and they will pick them up.
Up here it seems like if you look like some borderline junkie that's leeching off his wife you get the run of the place. If you're looking for the newest or best part you can find, expect to be followed through the yard and questioned about everything your doing.
The problem here is the big scrape yards pay the insurance companies in advance so they get all the wrecks and the local ones are just left with the old worn out local vehicles here. They make a little money for storage until the big guys come and pick them up..I've been to the wreckers in Dryden and certain vehicles can't be touched because they haven't been cleared by the insurance..
With the exception of the cold snap in January this has been a pretty easy winter for us. I've had 4 to 6 inches of snow on the yard for 6 weeks, prefer that over the snow banks that I had the last 2 winters.
