The wind turbines do turn off in high winds, and they have a brake mechanism of some kind to keep RPM from going above a certain amount. I wondered what happened with turbines in very strong wind, seems like a big waste of money with their low generation rate.
Apparently they are profitable, as they are getting built by companies that have lots of other investment options. I don't trust that many people, but I trust well-run large companies to make profitable decisions.
I kind of hate my land line, except for the odd legit call it`s mostly scammers calling. Most people that get a new house don`t bother to get a land line any more around here, especially on acreages.
Pretty soon land lines will be a thing of the past. The more cell towers they put up people will eventually be forced to go to cell phones. I wish they weren't so expensive but then I hate being on a phone anyway..
