How to make a cheap flexible magnet tool

Hi guys, I've been doing some basic maintenance on my son's 6.0 (like remote oil cooler, glow plugs, injector shuttle valve cleaning, etc) and couldn't find the flexible magnet to pull out the glow plugs.

So I bought 2' of flexible steel cable (about 5/32" od) from H.D. and used some rubber electrical splicing tape (it stretches good) to attach about 5 of the super magnets that are in a Sonicare electric tooth brush head.

The magnets are small enough that even with the tape holding them, the magnets fit into the 21 mm opening in the rocker arm housing. I wish the old wire loom was as easy to remove as the glow plug itself. The o-rings like to stick to the aluminum even when using the special wire loom tool and penetrating fluid.

Cool idea. It's amazing how stuck the glow plug connectors can be and still leak oil all over the place. Lol
