timing chain fit but probably need to be change, oil pump, distributor, heads, pulley, cam also fit but i wouldn't change old part from a 71 to 74 351c to swap on a 75 to 79 351m or 1971 to 1979 400. The only thing that will change is the 4v heads in certain application if its a 351c with 4v. If its a 351c 2v its the same(almost) heads as 351m or 400.
The 4v intake from the 351c need spacer to fit the 400 and it's just as much expensive as a 4v 351m/400 intake. just my 02.
Can you get the block ID from the 351c ? locate underneath the passenger exhaust manifold.

Did your brother live in Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa? If not, did he import his truck from one of those countries? Those are the only countries where Aussie assembled RHD F-Series trucks received Aussie built (Geelong Foundry) 302C/351C engines. If he didn't buy a RHD import, then it wasn't original to the truck OR he was believing the old car salesman trick from the 1970s. Back in 1975, Ford had discontinued the 351C but brought out the 351M and to keep up the sales mystique, they would call the engine a Cleveland.
