Wayne, if it were me, I'd take a Monarch:





Some think Monarch's are just over styled Ford's, but I like them. Now, the yellow 58 Lincoln--That's over styled! The Monarch pictured is a 56. I'm not sure what they looked like in 58.

Monarch, another one of the unique cars from Canada. The Monarch was a retrimmed mercury sold at Ford dealers in Canada, the same way the Meteor was a restyled Ford sold at Mercury dealers. The 56 Merc was a pretty car, and the Monarch version does not disappoint, either.

That second ad looks suspiciously like Cypress Lookout in west vancouver



Given that it's a canadian only name, I'd be pretty confident on that bet.

Ford was doing some testing on a Sunday and fractured an axle. They called my shop because no one was open on a Sunday and I welded the axle up enough for them to put on a show for Ford mucky Mucks. Back in the early 80's.
