Looking at wheels, need some insight please

So I want a larger set of wheels so I can get these tiny 16's off of my truck. I ran across these and after a 3 hour trip (each way) I can pick these up for $500.

I found these on eBay and although I'm on no way ready to buy these it's just a reference as to what I can get for just a bit more money aftermarket.

What insight are you looking for ?

How they are made, how they fit ? How they mount ? Weight rating ?

Just thoughts on what would be the best route to go really. I love the OEM wheels but I would have to buy spacers (which I have no problem running) to use them. Are the OEM ones worth the time/money to get?

Only worth the time and money if that is the design you want.

I wouldn't use spacers but that is really just because I don't like the look of the factory wheels enough to hassle with it. Plenty of aftermarket rims I prefer.

OEM is always best, tested tough. If you dont tow, spacers should be ok. I would not advise them though.

The only thing you can count on with larger wheels is more expensive tires.

I think the factory rims look good on our rigs, but the cost of spacers pushes adds too much cost to the equation for me. I can buy nice aftermarket rims for less.

Well I just looked up tires and Holy ****-*****! I just fell back in love with the 16's on my truck. No need to look at new wheels for me, I'm as happy as a clam!

What aftermarket wheel brands (for 18 inch rims) do you guys recommend that would not require spacers (and how do I know if the aftermarket wheels need spacers)?

Apoc, before driving crazy distances for stock wheels, reach out to your local wheel/tire stores. They will often have factory wheels left by owners who buy aftermarket. I know my local shops will sell those wheels just to get them off the property.

Could be worth a little phone/leg work.

Yeah, my 35x12.50R18 KO2's were $1750 out the door with warranties from Discount. They'll price match even online sales, which is why I got them so cheap... 4WheelParts had an online only sale for them. Otherwise I would have been well over $2200 in tires alone.

Try buying 33" All Terrain tires for 22" wheels, that was rough.

That's one of the main reasons I stuck to 18's. Also it's nice being able to drag a sidewalk when parallel parking downtown and not worry about curb checking a rim lip.
