frame vin location

I've spent the last couple of nights with the search bar trying to figure out where the VIN is located on th frame, either I'm too dumb to find a thread where it was discussed or the search isn't bringing it up, can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Thanks CelticOne, I saw the picture you posted today near the Rideau, may I ask where abouts the city you are from? I live in the Galleta/Kinburn area but I work all over the city and the valley.

Cool. I live in Kars (just south of Manotick). Have you posted pics of your truck(s)? Need any parts?

Not sure if I have posted any pics yet, but here's my '73 f250 RC Lb 4x4 and my parts truck '79 2wd f250 CC SB.

Don't need any parts at the moment, but i'll keep it in mind thank you very much!

My 74 vin is in the bare spot on the frame rail just adjacent to the starter bump in the bell housing.

I'll take that as a compliment...I think. I don't know if you have seen my other threads, but I am going to stretch the RC frame and put the CC on it, that means much more body work. I started working on the RC when I was 15yo then got a girlfriend and didn't have time or money for the old truck, now married to the same girl with 2 kids 14 years later I've decided I need the room of the CC.

Here's how they look tonight.

Somebody ran into it years ago(they sit at the back of the lot at work)

Bought the black front clip from a guy in north Bay 3 weeks ago to fix the fender and grille surround on the RC.

With any luck i'll have a nice 4x4 CC LB on the road by next spring.

I do need some 78-79 front signal lights if you have some kicking around, if you do let me know what you want for them.

About 8" behind it you can kinda make out the letters where the rust is buffed away. Yes, I just finished the mounts, 460 in a 4x4 frame. Didn't want to spend the $$ for a set of mounts. If I had it to do over, I would spend the money.

I like your plans - can't wait to see the result.

I may have some front signal lights - I know I have lots of rear ones. I will take a look.
