I bought mine from Amazon with a harness that fits my original wiring. I'll need to add wiring from the turning/flashing/clearance lights. The wiring for the mirror defroster is including with the set but not on my truck either. But as for whats on my F350 it will link into the new 2008> tow mirror.

 

I had a set of '08 mirrors wired for my '04 - they worked properly, but fitment was off and the big glass looked like a funhouse mirror. Fortunately they took them back with a full refund. Getting the ones from 1A with power fold. Bonus with 1A is upper and lower glass is heated like OEM.

 

I got mine off Ebay and they look nice. Came with smoked turn signals also. I only paid $139 shipped. When I looked at my purchase history I found that the seller didn't currently have the same set I bought but they had these. Ive had the 08 style on my 05 for a few months couldnt be happier paid about 160. They were plug and play. They look good on the truck. The mirror glass is a bit wavy but at the price paid i can live with it. Heck i could replace the glass cheaper that some of the higherdollar ones
