HP/Torque Specs ???

I've read all the posts that state we won't know until July probably on HP/Torque specs but just saw on one of the threads below that a guy that ordered one was told 925 on Torque. Can this be confirmed?

No, it can't be confirmed.

In the end, does it really matter if it is 925 or 950 or 975? You won't notice a difference either way.

No it doesn't matter but my question was only could it be confirmed. I didn't ask you to answer my question with another, only my wife does that. Knowing what HP and Torque are going to be for the vehicle I own is important to me. Will it influence my decision to purchase, obviously not since I already ordered it. Ford wanting to be the first to a 1000lb mark doesn't mean most of us will use it. However it's still cool. Thanks for the follow up though. Was only asking since it was stated earlier.

As soon as Ford releases those numbers, believe me, they will be posted here and people will either be ecstatic or ticked.

Personally, I'm more interested in the numbers for the 6.2L as the diesel is already over powered for my needs.

Agree , on the 6.2 but I'm not expecting much, rumor from my ford guy is like 10hp gain maybe a bit more torque.

I don't expect a bunch either, with a 5.8L coming in the next year or two.

To answer your question directly, no, nothing has been confirmed for HP/TQ, GVWR, or tow ratings.

I'm also not expecting much, BUT there is the rumor of the GM 6.2 finally going into their updated HDs this fall. If the updated 6.2L produced 400bhp and 430lb ft, I'd be pretty content. That's less than the 6.2 Raptor. 415bhp and 450lb ft would be better!

The latest UAW contract had some information in it about a new engine for Super Duty. The rumor is that it is a 5.8L mill, possibly with DOHC and DI.

Some kind of new engine will come. If it's a 5.8 or not, that part is just rumor.

We can all dream up a bunch of different scenarios, but so far, we're all just dreaming.

Makes sense. They already have the 5.8 Parts from the 13-14 GT500's.

I wonder if they slipped up on the order guide and released the tow rating via the 5th wheel prep info? It had SRW rated at 18k and DRW 350 rated at 27.5k.

Those are just the Reese Elite hitch ratings that go with the related prep packages Josh...
