Can anyone tell me what the size of the studs and lug nuts are on a 3/4 ton 8 stud wheel from the 90's is . Here is the issue. I have a 1976 F250 with 8 lug rims size 16. I am having the devils job of finding a replacement rim for my truck. My ideal is to get a size 16, 8 stud rim from a 90's truck ( said to be the same bolt pattern BUT the studs and lug nuts are bigger) and machine a stainless steel set of lug nuts custom to fit my studs and to have the outside diameter to fit the stud holes on the rim. Does this make sense to any one?

 

The hole size for my 1993 F250 rim size is 17mm or about 5/8-11/16 inch (21/32").

The stud and the nut are 9/16-18.

Jesus man you got all the good info. I am a newbie so forgive my ignorance when you say 9/16 18 stud what does the 18 stand for?

 

The 18 stands for threads per inch.
All bolts are sorted by threads per inch (TPI).

9/16-18 is also called 9/16 NF (National Fine).
