460 headers

I have 1978 F-150 4wd, I want to put long tube headers, fender exit. I got some headmans and when I put the passenger side one on I couldn't put the shock tower back on. I'm returning the headmans, any one else have this problem? Any suggestions on ones that will work good?

Maddog or L&L are the go to for most people on here. You get bronco graveyard? All the chassis stuff will fit you rig and it's a cool catalog too.

What Hedmans did you buy??

Were they engine swap headers? Because half-ton 4x4s never came with a 460.

Yes, they where the engine swap headers, the 85650.
It looked like they would have worked good if my engine was back about 2 inches. I sent an email to headman over 2 weeks ago and I still have not heard back.

You made mention that the shock tower could not be reinstalled. Have you checked whether the engine is tilted on one side?

Also the Overview notes states that it doesn't work with a dual shock setup.

Yes, the engine is not tilted to one side and I do not have dual shocks.

Tech help response is better with a phone call than email IMO.

Hmm... yeah, I'd send 'em back too.
