Our new to us. Downsized from a 5er. This gets us into Forest Service campgrounds and other areas with less people. Really wanted a truck camper but this will work for now. Besides, It's nice having the full use of the bed.
Those who tow with “enough truck” will never know the pleasure of towing with “too much truck.” It makes long hauls SO much easier, relaxing almost, and days on the road can be longer, improving the entire vacation.

Amen to that statement.
I nominate this for post of the year.
We’ve travelled with another couple, comparable size/ weight trailers. Him F150 ecoboost, Me F350 7.3 diesel. At the end of the 6hr driving day. Him-exhaust, Me- what do you want to do?
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should when it comes to towing.

I actually look forward to hooking up to our 333RETS Catalina and pulling out. Having the extra overhead makes the journey so much more enjoyable. My BIL is in a similar situation to the above quote, me with a 6.7 him with the diesel F150. My trailer is close to 40' his is closer to 30, plenty of power with both trucks, but the extra capability of the Super Duty just makes the trip so much less stressful.

Quick trip to Ricketts Glen State Park this past weekend. Spent Thursday night in a brewery parking lot and then Friday & Saturday at the park. Headwind every time I was on the highway kept me to 9.9mpg, but you sure can't beat the comfortable ride!
How do like the GD? I'm staring to research TT's and the GD has caught my eye for many reasons over others. Cons please
From what I'm hearing here on the forum, Grand Design quality isn't what it used to be. Blame it on Covid or the new ownership. Either way, it's different. If they're still handling warranty claims as well as they did in the past then they're still way ahead of most other RV manufacturers.
my Grand Design is a 5th wheel 02/22 mfg, I am sure it was built in 2021 though. the only warranty work I have had done is the propane fitting recall that hit just about every mfg. and my shore power cord was defective. granted we only have about 3,500 miles on it and 45 to 60 days using it ( I don't feel like going through my calendar to get an exact number). after years of shopping we wouldn't go any lower. our next option was luxe.
there are some super minor interior trim pieces I could bitch about but no one pays these guys that build them a living wage.

I don't have the most experienced opinion, but we're happy with it. This is our first travel trailer, and we just dove in. We bought pre-owned, and it's either a pre-Covid or very early Covid build, I don't recall right now. My wife had seen the Grand Design reputation online, and the floorplan on this one was about perfect for us. That was about the extent of our research...call it my wife's mid-life crisis.
As mentioned above, interior trim isn't up to house standards, but I'm sure nothing is at this price point. Everything mechanical works like it should. Original owner had no issues, and I haven't had to fix anything either.

I agree with this. Before we got our truck we towed our (small, 6000 lb camper) with a Pathfinder. All numbers were over the ratings except the axles and tires... and they were close! I'll admit, we stayed close to home with it, and it was actually ok to drive... not exhausting at all, however, listening to the engine work so hard was a bit tiring. Now I can probably tow 3 of these campers with my truck! What I have found is that long drives are long drives, but not listening to the motor work so dang hard sure is relieving!
New guy here, so i'll add mine. This is the first trailer for us. Truck is an 2005 F350 and trailer is a 2022 Outdoors RV 28 DBS. So far, we've pulled it ~5k miles and really enjoy the glamping life
