What a great looking setup! The wheels on the Cougar are not something I recall seeing before direct from the dealer. Safe travels and enjoy the ride!

First trip with the new 295RL.

In addition to the cracked and leaking skylight there is another water leak somewhere in the belly of the beast. Probably just a loose connection.

A few pics of our Kansas Nascar trip last week:
On the way there. Stopped at Sioux City KOA

Then finally made it Thursday to the track

What an awesome experience. Our first Nascar race. Camping at the track was fantastic. So many cool people. Boondocking was fun too. Burned a lot of propane but who cares?!!!!

I was just going through this thread and realized I haven't posted my "new" 5er. It's been 15 months since @senix and I brought it home. Seems like only a month ago!
It's a 2022 Cougar 24RDS. I once tried to pull a 31 foot fifth wheel up my driveway, which is rather steep, and the bumper got hung up on the street, so 30 foot is the longest fifth wheel we are allowed to own.

This is my favorite dark sky site for astronomy, I like to set up and spend about a week at a time during new moon each month. Retirement is GREAT!

Warren, I rather liked your 5th wheel. Nice floor plan to it.

Summer trip

We’re headed across the U.S. again in July. Can anybody point me to a good RV spot in the Denver area? I have found several but all of them I have found have terrible reviews.

Not much for decent RV parks in Denver. You're best bet may be looking at the two state parks, Chatfield on the south side or Cherry Creek near I-25 & I-225. There's also a private park by Golden, Dakota Ridge and a KOA further east in Strasburg.

What sneil said. Chatfield State Park is about 10 miles from my house. I've camped there before (in a tent). There are almost no trees and the weather in the spring can be a bit iffy (thunderstorms). Cherry Creek State Park is about the same distance from my house in the other direction. It has a lot more to do there. Lots of walking trails, gun range, RC airport, etc.

If you go north up I-25 there is the St Vrain State Park. It's conveniently right off I-25 and more trees. If you're willing to get into the mountains a bit there are a lot more options.

You need to check the weight limits of the tow vehicle. You might be overloaded...

.....NOT!

Seriously, very nice setup and we have always thought we might go with a Super-C with a Peterbilt or Freightliner. Be safe and enjoy the ride.
