You can get new (or maybe already have) batteries that have both top and side posts, then connect your winch to the side posts. Or you can hook the lug of the winch cable to the bolt of the battery clamp.

Wholesale Batteries if you have one nearby is a good source. They have #2 lugs with a 1/4 hole. For crimping I use a hammer crimp setup that I also found there. Like this from ebay.
Per 462 Battery Wire Cable End Terminal Lug Impact Hammer Crimp Tool 8 4 0 AWG | eBay
You will want to fuse that connection. As close to the battery as possible.

if I have a 12000lb hitch and a 12000lb winch, can I drag 4 3000 blocks of cement down the street?

does pulling my 7000lb truck which have wheels require the same straight line pull as pulling my 7000lb truck if I take the wheels off?

If I put a support bar on my hitch and connect to each of my tow links, does that give me 27000lbs of straight line pull. what can I pull with that?
You are making it a bit complex. But a winch has 'X' pulling power at max pull whether its on wheels or dragging a log out of the woods. If you have a good set of shoes, you can push your 7000 lb truck around like a marble on a slick iced parking lot.

Can you increase your pulling power? Yes, by adding a pulley(s) to multiple the force.

You may want to read thru this:

I have a Warn PowerPlant 12 k on the front of my truck. I like this unit as it has an integrated Air Compressor. I have had it since before they were released to the public (I did some hot weather testing on it). It been on 3 Jeeps and 3 F 350's, works as good today as it did years ago. Not cheap by any means but it performs and the air can power an air tool, fill up a tire etc. I have used it a LOT, extracted people, filled flat spare tires for folks sitting on the side of the road.

You can find one used on ebay for about $900 bucks...

I know this is about 9 months old, but I have seen far older brought back from the deep web. I am 99% sure I ma going with the Warn semi-hidden option for my truck.

Warn Industries - Mounting Systems: WARN Hidden Kit

And the Smittybilt 12,000 lb winch permanently mounted behind my factory bumper.

The bumper mod is around 670.00 and the winch as right at 500.00. So not to bad for a good system and a well built winch. I do need a skirting kit with this bumper setup. But still way cheaper than buying a new bumper. Besides, I don't link the appearance of the current crop of after market bumpers.

Just FYI - For most batteries with top and side posts, the side posts are inferior and use a thinner metal strap to connect to the plates inside the battery housing. A high amperage draw like a large winch has been known to burn these connecting straps up.

I got lucky and found a "last years model" smittybuilt 15,500lb winch for only $450!! I got unlucky when it wouldn't fit in my new iron cross bumper. I took it back and they gave me a good deal on the "new model" 12,5k winch. Lost a bit of power but it should still be plenty.
