6.0 diesel questions

What are your opinions on this diesel ex? I've always been told that the 6.0 is nothing but problems. Did this guy fix it?

From the writeup, is sounds like that engine has had its potential issues covered, but I would still want to verify everything prior to putting down cash. A 6.0 can be a great engine, especially once things have been sorted out. Several of us here are more than happy with ours.

If everything has been taken care of, and the whole underside is not eaten away with rust, then I say go and take a serious look at it.

Good luck!

Looks like a nice truck. It's odd that it says in the description that it has "new plugs and wires." Yes I know it could mean glow plugs, but "wires?"

When I did my STUD overhaul, I got all new glow plugs and wiring harness to go with them.

Please note, this is not my engine...

Yea I hear you on that it just sounded too "gasoline" to me. Like a cut and paste thing.

It will probably hit 20k. Looks nice to me, but as others said, Look for rusty underside. Sometimes you just roll the dice. Ask him to provide documentation, he seems so descriptive that he either may have read it off a receipt (good) or looked on a forum and posted everything is fixed that could go wrong.
