Jolly Green Giant...2015 F-350 KR DRW
Many thanks to all of you for your very kind comments and compliments! Suddenly, all the time and effort is truly worth it.
Once all the plugs are installed, I've put the ipe oil coating on and built Sally's planters in front of each of the roof columns, I will post a pic of the finished product.

I was going to build a new deck this Summer out of plain pressure treated deck boards. But, after seeing Steve's work/deck I'm thinking about IPE. Turns out there is a distributor about 2 hours from our place in NY.
George, If you do decide to go the ipe route, you might want to take a look at advantagelumber.com. That is who I bought my ipe from this time as well as for the upper deck six years ago. They really seem to be the pros in this space and they have all the fasteners, oil and tools you need as well. Most importantly, they were almost 20% less on price than the best source I could find in the Denver area, and on orders over $1000 they have free shipping. I ordered over thirty 18 ft long deck boards along with a number of lengths and widths for the facia and trim, etc. and It was in my driveway in about 10 days. They really know how to ship this stuff. Their website has a ton of info on how to install and deal with ipe.
Happy to answer any questions should you have some.
Regards,
Steve
yup.
I won't be posting any pics of my broom finished concrete.
Wood here is a lot of work to keep looking good with the dry heat.

It just shows what this country can accomplish when we can all focus energy and resources in one, positive direction.
I remember like it was yesterday watching Neil Armstrong step off that ladder. I sincerely hope I am around to see an American do that again.
George, That's a win-win for you. Those guys are really the pros, with the best prices, when it comes to exotic hardwoods. I had to have mine shipped into Colorado from LA.
