Is the hood a welded up seam all a built up of welds or welds & body filler?

Looks great Randle what ever way you did it.

When I stripped what I thought was a rust free hood I found a few pin holes in the nose. I figured if a few was there now there was more getting ready to show. So I made a new nose piece for the hood, by doing that there was less filling to do then it would have been just welding the seam, Ford never lined up that joint very good.

WoW!!! An out standing, well thought out and and well executed build.
It took me three days to read all 30 pages. Work kept getting in the way.
All my questions have been answered, but one.
The front spring hangers for the leaf springs. At one point they had been lowered and but two bolts holding them in. I recall you said you bolted and welded them in. I don't recall you stating if you left them where they were or if you put them back in the original spot.
I'm chomping to do an axle flip. Pinion angle and drive shaft bottoming out in the trainy Are plaguing me. I say they're plaguing me, I'm not a good welder, but I'm an excellent grinder

Thanks Orich, My work is starting to get backed up now. The wife jokingly said the yellow Mustang was going to be hers, so I went and bought another one. The yellow one will be going back close to stock, and I might just get a little carried away on the other one.

TeachNlive4ever: The hanger was put back in its original position, the bolts was put back in to line it up then I welded it to the frame. Then I did a axle flip. When I was learning to weld, my Dad used to tell me when you get tired of grinding the welds you will start trying to make your weld look better.

Nice attention to detail in the engine bay Randle, it looks so clean and simple so I know it was painstaking. Nice job on the bent line for the vacuum line and even the windshield washer hoses are laid out nice.
I have a lot of work to do to make my engine bay anywhere near as nice as yours.

Thanks Guys for all the good works. I still have a few little jobs to finish up, but I don't think they are ever done. But I will say it has been a fun build.
