Top of bed rails to ground measurement?

Hey all,

I am looking at a used truck that has been lifted, dealer will work with me to put it back to stock, wondering if anyone with a stock 2008 F250 Crew Cab Longbox 4x4 could measure the stock height from the top of the bed rails to the ground right at the centerline of the tires.

I want to make sure that I can tow my 5th with enough clearance, and I don't know if the 2008 sits the same height as my 2001.

Thanks

Not sure if this helps you it not but it's a free bump at the least. My 04 f250 regular cab 4x4 is about 55 inches from the top of the bed rail. I have 33's on it.

get yourself a new dealer! Stock springs are five in the rear leaf pack then if the option was added the truck should have a top overload spring so thats six total. if the rear pack had more than five someone added a add a leaf to raise the rear or help with payload capacity. Also stock F250 have a small 2 or 2 1/2" factory rear block so again if its larger than that someone has changed it.......

I agree, I thought someone would have been able to post a measurement by now - but not all 100 viewing members have the same configuration (or tape measures, lol). fwiw my 2005 F250 cc LB 2wd is @52" with a moderate load of tools in the bed and ARE Z topper on it, your mileage may vary.

Thanks, my stock 2001 is about 55 as well with 5 psi in the airbags, still curious if the 2008 is the same.

Unfortunately the truck is 4 hours away, I am just trying to confirm if stock height will work with my trailer, with the lift on the one I am looking at, the bed rails are 61 1/2 from the ground.

Thanks, so yours probably is pretty close to 55 with no weight.

Okay, we have a 2004 and a 2005, do I hear 2006? 2007? 2008?

Thanks

Well, since it appears that "any" measurements seem to be what we're looking for here, my 2006 SD KR CC SB, from the ground to the top of the bed rails is 64". This is with an 8" lift, 18" wheels, 38" tires, that same full-size spare in the bed (approx 150#), and a BakFlip F1 covering it up (approx 75#).

Okay, we are up to 2006 now, couple more and we should be up to 2008!
