There isn't a double sheave harmonic balancer for a 223.

Ford offered accessory outer pulleys that bolt to the harmonic balancer to add a dual belt alternator, P/S and/or A/C.

C1AE-6A312-C .. Single Sheave Outer Accessory Pulley / Obsolete

C2AZ-6A312-A .. Double Sheave Outer Accessory Pulley / Obsolete

The problem is, no one has any NOS. The same pulleys were used on 1961/64 223 F100/600 & Custom/Galaxie.

So what do I do run it all off one belt? Or one guy put a double on the alternator. Thoughts? I love this motor. Everyone swaps these out for a v8. I wanna be different !!!!

Neither of these schemes will work.

You need to find an accessory outer crankshaft pulley for a 1961/64 F100/600 or Custom/Galaxie 223.

Try: Big M Automotive in Williams CA

Ok guys one last question. My buddy manages a parts store. Says he can get me a new box and pump at his cost. This way I don't have to rebuild anything used and pay shipping. If I get the stuff for a 79 F100 2 wd all I should have to do is swap out the column and get a different pitman arm right?

Knowing this is an oooolllllddddd thread , I thought I would throw this out there regarding the power steering conversion to a 1965 F100 stepside.
Do the aftermarket power steering kits "in combination with" an ididit steering column make it a more bolt on solution as opposed to cutting the steering column.
Thanks for any input

I think in some ways the answer is yes. In the end I think it depends on what steering wheel you plan to run. Some of the Ididit columns are meant for stock wheel use but that limits your options on length of column and shaft. They will do a "custom" build but I think there are still limits when trying to use the stock wheel. I am converting a '62 to power steering. I want to keep the stock steering wheel and still have a tilt column. I am going with the Ididit column, I think the one for a '65 F100.

I have the ididit tilt col with a stock (aftermarket) steering wheel. Works great, looks more original and keeps the feel more 1966ish.

Looks great. Did the bracket that holds it to the dash come welded to the column tube? Putting one in my ‘62 with the CPP power steering is going to be a little work but as long as what is seen in the cab ends up as clean as yours I don’t mind the extra work.

We took the bracket off the original column and used it to retain the didit.

Since there is no actual kit for my '62 I am using the CPPkit for the '57-'60 F100. I modified the mounting bracket to fit the holes in my frame with an aluminum spacer. I plan on using the OG shaft and cutting it so it fits the rag joint near the box. Since the mounting puts it higher on the frame I plan to use a hydraulic clutch and eliminate the Z bar. I am going with a WC T5 trans and new pedals and brakes as well.

Good to know. So the Ididit comes without anything welded to it? That is preferred for my setup as I will use my mount from the original column as well. Thanks

That's an interesting solution as CPP doesn't have anything either for my 65.
Thanks for the info.
