I guess the trans will depend on if / which one comes with the engine I get so I'll cross that bridge when I buy it. I have seen a couple on craigs for ~ $1500 with a running engine and trans with ~190k miles. Thank you all for the info. I have been following your threads and will continue to do so. I will create a new build thread for the conversion once I get there. I have a knock in my 460 so this will be soon.

I have about $6000 in my truck already as is and my wife is going to be thrilled when I tell her I need another $6000 but I feel a little more confident now with that number. Perhaps I'll have to sell my 03 jetta which is my current DD... Damn Ford addictions I'll tell ya.

Tell the wife try buying a new truck for under $20k. Not going to happen.

co425 is right on. Instead of buying adapters and having custom parts stick with the stock dodge and build it up. Also buy a complete dodge and part out what you don't need.
