05 6.0 No Start, No Oil Pressure
I parked my '05 Excursion with a 6.0 on Saturday night after driving home from vacation 5 1/2 hours. Had no problems coming home, truck ran great. When I went to leave Sunday morning, it would not start. I checked the oil pressure at the ipv valve, and i was only getting 200 psi. The gauge in the truck would register after cranking for a few seconds. After looking at it again tonight, I'm only getting 95 psi at the ipv now. At first we thought the ipr went bad, but now it seems like we arn't getting any oil up to it. Looking for help on this one, very new to the 6.0 world.

With the dash gauge moving, your low pressure oil pump is working and assuming the oil is flowing into the oil filter reservoir, then the problem leads to the stand pipes, dummy plugs, STC fitting or trashed IPR.
My truck shut off on the highway as I lost high pressure oil. Turned out the IPR screen was torn and sucked in. I ended up doing the standpipes and dummy plugs along with the IPR. I still have the updated STC fitting and will install it when I do my ARP studs.

Depending on the build date your truck may not have the STC fitting. Does your engine have the EGR throttle plate and where is your EBP sensor mounted? If you have the EGR throttle plate and your EBP sensor is mounted to the thermostat housing then you have an 04 motor, If you do not have the EGR throttle plate and your EBP sensor is mounted just below the FICM then you have an 05 motor. If you have an 04 motor you have the old style HPOP that are known to fail, If you have the 05 motor its likely standpipes, dummy plugs and or the STC fitting starting to fail, the HPOP's in the 05 and later rarely fail. Either way an air test of the HPO system will lead the way to the problem. Do you have gauges that read live data like scan gauge II or one of the smartphone apps like Dashboss for IOS devices or Torque for Android? They are absolutely necessary in diagnosing problems with these trucks. This first link is to the 05' coffee table book PDF located in the tech folder that shows the difference between the 04' with a throttle plate and the 05' with no throttle plate, https://www.ford-trucks.com/ford-man...ble%20Book.pdf it is on page 6 of the PDF. And the second link is to the 05' running changes PDF and it shows both locations of the EBP sensor on page 3 of the PDF, https://www.ford-trucks.com/ford-man...ges-Update.pdf

Nope, standpipes and dummy plugs are part of the high pressure oil system and they are located under the valve covers, the only way you know they are leaking is a hot no start. The STC fitting if yours has it is on the discharge of the high pressure oil pump and again you cant see it leaking as it is under the HPOP cover and the way you know its leaking is a no start. You need 500 plus PSI on the ICP before it will start.
