clear fluid leak - what is it?

Looking for some input here. I have a 2006 f-250 6.0L with around 145k miles. I have a leak of what seems to be clear fluid under the engine near the front. Cant tell where its coming from as it seems to be dripping around several suspension parts. I've noticed the leak for about a week and now the engine light is on, so it must be a fluid that is monitored by the onboard computers. I have checked the engine oil and level is perfect. I'm not sure what else to check. (and honestly, dont where to check other stuff, I'm a computer guy, not an engine guy)
I plan on taking it to the dealer for service later this week but I want to make sure I'm safe driving it for about 30 miles to the dealer.

Anyone have ideas what it might be?

Thanks

Check your coolant level.

It could be diesel fuel or coolant. Is it an oily fluid?

it is definitely oily, no color so I didnt think it was coolant. would the engine light come on for a fuel leak?

That is probably fuel then.

What is the light on for? You need to have that code read. Look for any leaks around the filter bowl on the top of the engine.

Smell it... you'd surely know if it was diesel fuel!

its really hard to see in a photo, I put its on white tissue paper and is literally clear. coolant is fine. cant see any wetness from the top of engine, only the bottom. the drip seems to slow down dramatically after awhile though.

what kind of fuel leak would throw a code? if it is fuel, should be ok to drive right? if I understand correctly, diesel is not as flammable as gasoline.

is it on the passenger side? the A/C condenser will drip for a while after the truck is shut off even if the a/c system wasn't selected on the dash. but it you say it has a smell to it and is oily i doubt this is it.

the only other clear fluid that is oily with not a lot of odor i can think of is brake fluid...

I agree with ford150 guy. Most likely brake fluid.
Also, get rid of the green coolant and go to the gold.
Someone who owned this guy didn't pay attention before.
