It had a broken bearing race. I have no idea what that is.

I don't want to argue with the trans guru, and maybe bearing part terminology is different in transmissions. But from all the bearings I have worked on the bearing race is the inner and outer part that the rollers or ***** ride on, the sheet metal part that holds the roller or ***** spaced out and in their spots is called a "cage" or "bearing cage".
I got the truck back last week.
The local shop was great, but took way too long in my opinion.
Truck is running well in most of the settings, but I think the throttle is a little too sensitive on the higher hp settings.
