I was gunna get my ficm rebuilt to the 58 volt option but I was wondering if I could do that with the truck being stock besides an egr delete. Would it blow head gaskets or be hard the injectors
If it wouldn't blow head gaskets I'd want which ever is performance.
Typically the higher performance tuning gives the best fuel mileage because it's also more efficient BUT your right foot has to show some restraint. I'd go with the Atlas 40 tune and the upgraded FICM from Ed. You absolutely can't go wrong there.
If you're ever gonna tow, get the Atlas 40. Hercules without a doubt is not a tow setup and even unloaded using an SCT will require you to watch the pyrometer VERY closely to prevent the EGT's getting too high. Atlas 80 might work to tow if you're not gonna tow heavy, but if you're gonna tow above 8,000 pounds then don't get it either. Also, if you take into account the fact that you only get about 25% of the advertised power when using the SCT tuner then it makes sense to just use the Atlas 40 anyways. You COULD get the Gryphon FICM tuner, but for another 250 dollars its not worth it to me. You're namely just wanting the throttle response and MPG increase form the FICM tune, not power. Use the SCT tuner for power.

But if you need gauges for the factory PID's the Gryphon does that too. I think it's a fair deal.

I guess, but just for using it to switch between FICM tunes I don't feel a point for 250 dollars. Also, the rollback costs more money on top of that too. There's so little to gain between FICM tunes when you're using a PCM programmer most people can't justify it.
