Instrument Cluster help

Does anyone have any experience with a place that does a good
job on repair of the Instrument Cluster for out trucks?

I went to replace some lamps that are out and it turns out it's not the
lamps. They are not getting any power. The right half lights up and
the left is dark. Can't see the fuel gauge and 1/2 of the tack.

So if you have had this done and are happy with them please let me
know who did your work.

Also if you have someone that you would not use again I would like to
know that also.

Thanks
Sean

Well I put the cluster back in yesterday but did not go anywhere.
Today I went out to the post office and fill up the tank.
Before I gout out of the driveway the stupid cluster through a CEL at me
seems that it lost communications. So I thought I would pick up a set of batteries
for my scanner and see what I could find out. My Garmin Ecoroute HD would not
reset the cluster CEL issue and my SGII is in the mail somewhere because it was having
issues. So last stop I got a set of batteries for the Snap-on and wouldn't you know
it cleared it's self. Must of been from plugging it back in because even with the
key off it did make sounds when I did plug it in.

I still have 3 lamps that won't lite but the rest is working.

Have you checked the solder connections on the backside of the cluster? They are prone to cracking. Try giving it a good look over with a magnifying glass, the solder could be cracked just enough to break the connection. Also be sure the lights are snug in the sockets. I replaced the lights in mine a while back, and the little metal wing that make the electrical contact was just loose enough not to make good contact. It should take a fair amount of twisting to seat the light in it's socket.

They have some green e-coating on the joints so it very hard to see any cracks.
I did check the socket wings and they are nice and tight. I even tried a little musical
chairs with the lamps and same 3 still won't light.
I got an email back from Tousley $400 + a $300 core. The price on the web page is wrong.
It may get sent off to one of the repair places.

It's only the three lamps out on the fuel gauge side. If I move then to another
location they light.

OH I see , the wire cluster, just a short in a wire to the 3 , So hook power and then go back to the Y in the link, with the prob lite , or olm each plug to see if anything gets thru. check all grounds

I sent my cluster into circuit board medics for a number of reasons. The first was the fact that my speedometer was sticking. I also added a couple of bulbs that were out and the fact that my interior lights were not coming on when opening the door (needed programming). These options were on their repair sheet that you fill out before you send it to them. I assumed since they were on there and I was filling it out that they would fix it. They only fixed the sticking speedometer by pulling the needle out. For the price I wasn't very happy with their work. I don't know what they would do with a problem like your having. They were fairly quick with shipping. That was a plus.

The problem is it is fine traces on a circuit board and you can't get to the front side.
I sort of see how to take it apart but don't know how to remove the needles and it looks
like then have to come off to take the board out of the frame. I can deal with the board
traces once I have it free. It's the six needles that I worry about.
