Does this tell y'all anything? To me it signals a lot of work that needs to be done, but can anyone put it in layman's terms? Could this have something to do with the alternator and battery replacement that occurred two weeks ago? or do you think this has more to do with chafed wires? Could this also have put my truck into limp mode? Thanks for your help and suggestions!

IMO your problem is
P0266
P0046

Program VGT% into SGII

VGT 07E022096D 04620509066D 3010 00647FFF0000

The thing with this one is the reading you will get is what the PCM Commanded the VGT to!!

Since there is NO Postion sensor within the VGT you would need the ability to Control VGT and be able to Monitor MGP at this Time to see if its Moving the turbo veins

Here is a Poormans Way to check the VGT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VGT SILINOID TROUBLESHOOT
There definitely should be a noticeable difference when the VGT actuator is plugged in or not. If you have access to a wiring pigtail, (exactly identical to that of a 7.3L injector or IPR connector), you can test this out yourself, by holding it up to 1200 RPMs in PARK or NEUTRAL and supplying your own power and ground directly to the actuator via a pigtail connector. When you do this, you should hear the turbo spool up almost immediately, and stop when you remove the power and ground supply. If it does not, the VGT actuator is bad. By doing this, you elimate the need to get your hands on a scan tool to take active command of the actuator.

Ok got some more results. I couldn't get my ECT above 180 and my EOT was at 188. They go IOEO, cold idle, hot idle

VGT 0, 74, 43
BAR 14.0 all the way across
MAP 13.9, 13.9, 14.1
MFV .05, 1.58, 3.05
ICV .15, .82, 2.1
IPR 14.4, 23.9, 42.3
FICM 48.0, 48.0, 48.0-48.5 fluctuated in there but always went back to 48.0 fast

And ryhed and acf6 I will take your advice on testing the fuel pressure. I just don't know how much money I can afford to invest in testers/kits. Are they expensive? Any recommendation on which to look at?

You probably need a thermostat too. Motorcraft is like $20-25

When I have the money I'm buying an isspro ev2 0-100 fuel pressure gauge and a billet secondary fuel filter cap tapped for the sender fitting

Throw out Cold and Hot Idel

Since your truck runs Take ALL Sensor Values ECT 180* is Fine

do this

KOEO= Key On Engine Off

Low Idel= Truck Idel on its Own

High Idel= 2500RPM

Looking at your Values It Looks like you Did this^^???

Hot Idel Numbers were really High Idel Right???

MAP seems Alitttle Low at High Idel or Really it didnt differ Much from KOEO or Low Idel

Has this truck had any recent Work???

How High is your Boost AT WOTJust a recent average

Blade I did exactly as you said with IOEO, high idle, and low idle. And yes the high idle numbers were really high idle.

I did do some recent work on it including an oil change with filter, fuel filter changes with diesel Kleen, EGR cleaning, and new alternator and batteries.

Using this from scanguage I average a BST of about 3.0 in drive. I have no done it in Neutral though. I can clearly hear the turbo winding. <table id="wp-table-reloaded-id-42-no-1" class="wp-table-reloaded wp-table-reloaded-id-42"><tbody class="row-hover"><tr class="row-21 odd"><td class="column-1">Boost
</td><td class="column-2">07E0221440
</td><td class="column-3">046285140640
</td><td class="column-4">3010
</td><td class="column-5">001D0050XXXX
</td><td class="column-6">BST</td><td class="column-7">XXXX = See Table</td></tr></tbody></table>I properly put in all the #'s including the last 4 X's.

I also had the turbo, HPOP and sensor, FICM, and other stuff done within the last 2 years. I can't remember what all exactly because I feel like this truck is a lemon and has had one or two of everything replaced since I bought it used in 2007.

Also guys I don't know if you have any info on this but I am looking the proper ranges in which each of these things should be running in. Anyone have a link or another thread with the info for the scangauge and what my truck should be running. I have checked the threads but their are soooooo many. Thanks again guys! Y'all are really helping this newb understand more about this stuff.

.

Well This BOOST reading will be One of the Very Few you will take Driving

Say going up a Hill at WOT see how High Boost Hits

Hope to See 22-28psi Boost under this Condition^^

This^^^ will kinda show wether or Not the VGT is Moving the Veins Properly

All this kinda goes with the P0046 DTC you have For VGT (VGT controls the Turbo veins what in turn controls BOOST Maybe you Know this IDK)

OPERATING VALUES
Just make shure the numbers are taken exactly like this
Truck in PARK OR NEUTRAL all times during test
ECT at 190* or close to And EOT at 185* or higher
A/C OFF
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#1-------KOEO=Key On Engine Off =record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
#2-------Low Idel (truck idel on its own)=record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
#3-------High Idel (2500RPM)=record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
ALL^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Taken in Park or Nuetral

And the last set of numbers are sensor operating range. If it falls out of this range I beleive a DTC/CEL will be set.
