Yes thats a sexy Cummings and it has towed a chebby with a blown rearend (like always) back home to. lol

And it has hauled 3 different 79 bronco's, 79 F250 4x4 super cab, 71 bronco twice, and its been trailer towed to the shop itself, dead injector pump.....

But let me tell you the ol dodge knew for sure that the Ford wrecker was on its tail end all the way home.

Glad to hear its running and can't wait to see it finished, hang in there with it Alan.

Just glad I had the equipment and time to get it home for you.

The bed sides are rotted really bad, but while I'm at it, yes, the new sides will closer resemble Cooter's truck. ...and yes, it'll say "Hazzard Garage" on the doors. I don't need or want to advertise my shop. I'm as busy as I want to be right now.

I can't thank you enough for that, Rich. There was no way Alice would've put up with that.

I got the exhaust under the wrecker today. I still have to fix the donut flanges, but it's getting closer.

Here's the old "exhaust system".

Here's the new system. ...plain and simple.

Here's the new system under the truck.

Bet she likes to roar. You must live in farm country to have ground grips like that.

Thats the kind of set up I wanna do when I eventually run stacks on my 78. I have flowmasters but they are too quiet and I want that classic roar.

I got some more done to the wrecker today. It has all new plumbing. New fuel system and new brake lines.

Here's the new fuel line next to the old stuff. It turns out there were THREE fuel systems under the truck. They just kept running new lines and leaving the old stuff under there.

I started to pull out rusty brake lines and old fuel lines and the stuff just kept coming!

I replaced ALL of the steel and rubber brake lines. Unreal. Every piece was rotted or rusty. I don't want any issues later on.

I already replaced the master cylinder. I'm waiting for the new brake booster to come in. I think after all that, I should be ok with the brakes for a while.

I got to drive the wrecker today! It was just up to the corner and back, but I drove it! I got the new brake booster in and everything bled out. I even got my brake lock plumbed in and working. I still have work to do, but I've got it on the run, now.

Here's how the exhaust sounds.....

I goosed it. I was in the truck, but I got it on there. Those glass packs aren't near as loud as you would think they would be. I'm sure they'll get louder as they get older.
