Here's my thread I did on it.

I actually fabbed the piece with some poly resin using a cardboard backing. I cut the verticle lines out of both pieces and glassed the holes up. With the gauge cluster being "brittle" I glassed over the frameing to stiffen things up a bit but in the end I really used most of the whole things other than where the gauges were. Yes they have their own bulbs of which you can change to what ever colors you want. I'm swapping my bulbs (normal white) that came with them to color LED's. (not sure about color yet)

...and yes my turn signals are going in a different place, not in the cluster.

I personally like mine. All the "senders" were included so no issues so far. The gas tank sender was fun to set because it was my first time EVER doing something like that but it's just another piece of knowledge I figured out myself with this truck. I come from AND married into a HotRod/Drag family and have seen these gauges used in Drag cars, rods, mud racers, circle track cars, boats and lawn mowers. I think they preform just like any Autometer or StewartWarner or any other top name out there. Eventually you'll get a lemon or 3 when it comes to any gauge as everything is mechanical and made by man.

It was an 11 gauge piece of metal cut to fit exactly into the radio recess. Painted with the Dupli-Color or Rust-o-leum bed liner spray (don't remember which). Mounted with epoxy.

2 1/16" holes and Cyberdyne digital gauges.

Here is a similar one I made for my 87 Ranger...

That one is bolted in behind the dash bezel. But the same sheetmetal and spray can bed-liner.

Not a very good picture, but all I could find. They are autometer Phanthom II full sweep. Oil is Mechanical, water temp electric. I just cut up some plywood and stained it black, brad nailed it together until I finish my center console.
