I highly recommend the military style of clamps, you wont find a better set up in my opinion. You don't have to remove the clamp from the battery to add or remove cables and they are heavy duty. Here is link to show what I am talking about. http://www.prime4x4.com/shop/OffRoad...MilTerm001.htm

Thanks for all the info.
I'm gunna do the military style connectors instead of the marine grade.
Anyone know the sizes of cables coming off the batteries? For all the components - Alternator, ground, size going to the other batteries. And what is the small wire molded into the dual connector on the positive post passenger side?

I'm not a huge fan of those clamps. At the very least strip the paint off the contact areas.
If mine were really bad I'd just throw a new cable set on there.

check out my thread I posted on the top of this page. IIRC the
power cable comming from the starter was 0 ga
Crossover cable 0 ga
Alternator 7 ga? shouldnt have to mess with this wire
I went with 4 OT which is the biggest wire you can get. It never hurts to have more than what youu need. I run my 9k winch with 1200 hi idol and it does dim the lights, but doesnt bog at all. This is with a stock alternator.
but you need to remember you wont gain flow from going small to big. Example: running a 0 ga power cable to a 4 ot crossover cable. Your crossover cable will only run what the 0 ga feeds. Need to start big and taper down.

I went ahead and ordered the military style clamps.
From what I gathered from Josh88 the battery to starter is 3/0 AWG and the bridge cable is 4 AWG.
Does anyone know what the other sizes are? The negative cables and that smaller wire (maybe a 8-10 AWG) from the passenger side POS battery.
