A code of 37 is the passenger side seat sensor. Look under the seat for a connector plug, unplug it, check for broke wires or bad connections and plug it back in. That is all I did to mine. People in the back seat have a tendency to kick the plug. I had to staple the wire to the bottom of the seat to keep the plug connected. Hope this helps.

How about a 36 code? That's what I have now.

I am pretty sure a code 36 is the same as a 37 but on the drivers seat instead. Again as previously in the threat look at the connector under the seat. Hope it works for you. Good luck.

OK, thanks. I'll check it tomorrow. I checked under passengers and unplugged and plugged back in but didn't try drivers.

I checked the drivers side and it worked. No more light. THANKS!

Now, I wonder what the dealer would've told me: New airbag? New airbag sensor? New front end? The X is totaled? Whatever it was, you know it wouldn't have been just to unplug a wire and plug it back in.

airbag and abs light

Hi,

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport. My airbag light flashes with a code 41.

Does anyone know what this code indicates?

Thanks, Dawn
