I've been mulling over ideas for side steps since my wife has extreme difficulty getting in and even I have to do a little hop thing.

I've heard that full length running boards can actually improve MPG. I wonder how something like this would look.

I like the style of these.

I've seen that truck before, I like it. He probably doesn't have any lift either. I love these 37s, they ride great, are very affordable, and I still have plenty of power. I can't imagine ever wanting to go bigger so big wheel wells will just look silly.

At this point I'm either going to cut out the rear and put matching bullnose arches in, or more likely, just put some matching bushwackers on.

After a week of DD duty I'm starting to regret not doing a 4 door. Loading the kid in is a lot of work. I'm thinking I might want to finish it up, sell it, and move on to a Centurion. Not a real one because they are too rare/expensive and I hear too many stories of shoddy build quality, but build my own with a crew cab and a Bronco for donors. I have some time to think it over at least.

On a positive note, the 37s have made my 4.10s much more highway friendly, to the tune of 20 MPG instead of the 17 before. The trade off is getting those big meats rolling in city driving, MPG is not great at about 12 mpg.

I'd be real curious to see what you come up with along those lines. I've been rattling around a few ideas myself.

It will be a long time before it happens, if ever. But from what I've read they were done two ways. Centurion would start with a crew cab F350, shorten the frame and add a Bronco rear. The rear floor was custom to fit the raised frame. Magnum would start with a Bronco and stretch the frame so the floor was more factory like.

I think the best way would be to use a SCSB frame which is already the right wheelbase, and find a CC cab and Bronco tub and do some surgery.

BTW, fun factoid of the day. My neighbor across the street hates me. He's always complaining about my projects in the driveway. He's told me to put up a fence, accused me a running a chop shop, and threatened to call code enforcement.

That funny. I wish I never built my CCSB. I still wish I was able to find a SCSB that I originally wanted

Why is that Brad? Wheelbase? You probably don't have young kids? I wouldn't mind the SC at all if he could buckle himself in. His seat has to be in the middle or he'll kick the back of ours seats. Which means climbing in every time to buckle/unbuckle his harness.

Ah hah! Those sure look like bullnose flares on that 9th gen. I don't see why I can't hide my rear arch with a flare now.

In that scenario a SC is perfect. A little extra leg and cargo room with better maneuverability than a CC.

I'm trying to track down two issues right now. One, I'm getting exhaust in the cab. It was doing that before the cab swap too. I inspected the exhaust pipe when the cab was off and didn't find any cracks.

Secondly I have a loud rumble when I put it in reverse and give it more than 1/4 throttle. That's new since the swap. It's quiet in any other gear or throttle position.

I'll never finish this truck if I don't make up my mind. I picked up a crew cab for a 4 door Bronco conversion and am leaning towards pulling my front clip off and using it for that and putting a 92+ clip on to sell this truck.

Oh and wait until you see my bumper. I leaked a preview on the OBS Facebook page.

Not much progress lately, have just been driving it. I did pick up some perfect seats and dash from the junkyard today for a grand total of $35. The seats are from a 04 Mazda Tribute but are the right color. I have some Bronco seat rails I'm going to try to put them on.

Oh and the new bumper.
