This is prolly a 1 page thread at most
Evening gentlemen! Just catching up on a few threads. I'm really glad the snow has stopped up the coast. We always get freezing rain here that really screws us to begin with. Then any snow. I've got some friends up in Va and their 120 lb Belgians were out in the snow playing with the snow as deep as they are tall. That's just too much of a good time. I was caught in a snowstorm in the mountains of NC in the late 80s and got 19" of snow overnight, but can't imagine what a lot of you went though.
Talk to you guys later. Got to get ready for the next two days at work.

Stopped at the only Wal-Mart in Michigan that is closing and cleaned them out of 6.7 oil filters (2 Motorcraft and 2 Fram).
Oil was completely gone, only other filters found for the 8 vehicles in the immediate family I care for was an air filter for my trail jeep. But only spent $32.00 for everything, so I'll chalk it up as a win.
Been there done that too! Though ours was more because the house a/c did and the campers worked!

Fairly stock, keep it that way! I got sucked into the amusement of one ton axles and perpetual beatings and breakage. Had a lot of fun but I don't miss dealing with the carnage! Looks like webshots killed all my buddies out in nature pics. Still mountain bike with most of the old wheeling crew though.
I am thinking of getting a little more ambitious with my next one. Wife's daily is an '04 Grand that will be getting retired in the next year or two. Have a 9" in the garage, thinking that and a 44 out of a nineties dodge and running 35s on it.
Junkyard availability for parts is one of my build requirements. I'd need Roy's money tree otherwise......

It does get expensive, doesn't it! This was taken in the Black Hills of SD. I got out of this, also......gave it to one of my grandsons that got into it.......he still thinks he got a "free" Jeep........and we know there aint such a thing!
And this was taken along the Little Missouri River in ND.
So, now I just do my wheeling with my RZR.....much cheaper, I just put a whole set of tires on this for a little more than one tire for the Jeep!
Good morning, crew! Have a great Monday!/ Saturday I

Good morning guys! Back to the grind stone
Gerry, the sleds buried may as well have been us. Lots' of snow
This is a JD branded doo (ski-doo)
This is an actual JD.
That Judge is beefy...it gets the job done the first time
Dak, glad to hear plans to head to Alaska in February are a possibility...even if it's for a visit.
Darren congrats on the new gun and sled parts. Those parts took dedication to find!
Gross at the snowballing and pass it around comments...
Doug, Glad you survived Netflix and chill obligations. That's always tough.
Monty sorry to hear of the ice layer. That stuff is the worst
Dak...I hope the closing goes through on the 4th! LOL@lizard warning
If my daughter's not playing , I can't get into it AT ALL. I don't blame you a bit.
Great pics Scott! Same thing happened to me on my JD a few years back. I have a spare of each belt (snow blower, mower deck and power flow) hanging in my shop along with some other common items. It sucks getting parts when you really need them.
This is a reason to declare an EMERGENCY. Call FEMA for beer relief
Mitch...how's the wifey's ride doing? I bet it's still FAST
Roy, watching the game outside in the new fiver is awesome! Sorry about the Patriots losing...
Nice Jeep...looks like a fun one on the trails
That looks like a fairly expensive commitment
lol@FREE Jeep. You just stopped (redistributed) the bleeding Don!
I'll catch up on our trip soon...we had a lil bit 'o fun

Today has not gone well. Tractor broke a tie rod end 10 feet out of the shed. Rigged that up and got to the driveway. Blew about 40 feet 10 feet wide and it munched the blower belt. Stupid me, no spare. Drove to ACE in white out conditions. They had nothing longer than 90". Belt is 104.35", thanks Toro. AutoZone only had up to 99". Everything else is shut down. Hoping TSC will open tomorrow and have a 104 or 105 and one of those can suffice for one use. Ordered all the parts already, including the $56 belt from Toro.
Truck did good. Had to mow down a 3+ foot drift to get out of the driveway. The air dam took it like a champ, plowed the driveway down some. I got home frustrated and backed it in til it was stuck and then shoveled it out. Don't even think beer can cure my frustration, trying rum n coke.

I'll catch up on our trip soon...we had a lil bit 'o fun
Sledding was great! The weather was cold, snow was plentiful and we were eager. The only hitch was both of my boys were sick. They still wanted to ride, but they were down on energy. I was father of the year and let them ride anyway. I have moms from all over letting me know just how much my decision to pull 'em out of school to ride was a brilliant decision Lucky for me, my wife just babied them when they got home and said nothing to me
We arrived to Lake Gogebic very late Wednesday evening...as in 11:30pm. The drive up was tiring and it snowed about half the trip. The new trailer pulled very well and the Fiat was amazing. Yep, AMAZING. Hotel was old an run down a bit, but clean. Price was cheap and the owner is an fine young man named Casey. Lake Gogebic Motel...check them out if you are out there. We slept in a bit and unloaded in the morning.
We immediately ran into an issue where my youngest ran off trail. I don't have pics as he grabbed the camera and DELETED the evidence, but I did find this one of the aftermath:
He was just going faster than he should have and caught some air off a bump in the middle of a turn. He was fine as was the sled.
Mr. "Off-Trail" himself
His partner in crime
Here is lake Superior in all her frigid glory:
It just looked like death out there...
I have about 160GB of GoPro footage from the trip that if I ever get caught up at work, I'll edit down to a short video if anyone wants to see it. It won't be for a while tough.
We could only ride about a hundred miles a day and the boys were exhausted, but we rode what we could and had a lot of fun doing it!

So when we got back it was time for Boy Scout Klondike. It was an exhausting weekend, but well worth it. The boys had tons of fun!
I have a ton of pictures, but I'd thought I'd share some of the dog sled team that we brought in for the boys to see. It was cool!
We won the entire klondike last year...this year not a single event
Let me tell you that the older brother (last year's Senior Patrol Leader or SPL) is having a good time with that one as younger brother is the current SPL. They had fun and no one got hurt. Good enough for me
