I think you can run 33's with a 2" lift. I've been scouring posts researching lifts, and tires. I don't plan on running anything taller than 31's, and I can run those with no lift at all. However, I'm going to lift my '95 f150 SC 4x4 2" mostly for asthetic reasons. Most of the places I've looked at (rancho, rough country (bad rep), skyjacker, superlift, etc) say you can run 33's with a 4" lift. Most everyone on here says you can run 33's with just a leveling kit (2" lift on front) but you may rub the radius arms, and may have to trim the bumper.

Just my .02.

You can lift it 2" in the front by running taller coil springs, or daystar or similar coil spring spacers. You will need to change the camber bushings to get the front end back into alignment.

On the rear, you can lift it with a 2" block, add-a-leaf, re-arched springs, or new springs. With the add-a-leaf, it stiffens up the ride, but the block can increase axle wrap. If you just want 2", I say go with the blocks (and longer u-bolts of course).

I have a 2.5" lift on my '91 and I'm running 33/10.50/R15's. Yes, they do rub the radius arms at just about full lock but otherwise they fit fine and look great. I wouldn't reccomend getting 12.50's though. By the way, you will most likely need to get radius arm drop brackets as well.

Tough Country makes alignment brackets that allow you to adjust the camber (alignment) of your front tires with a screw like many late model cars and trucks. These drop brackets are for 1.5"-2.5" lift and can be purchased at JC Whitney for $140. Just think about spend $140 for the drop brackets or spend $600+ for a new set of tires that won't last very long because of improper alignment. It should be a no brainer.

You don't need those, you can just get skyjacker leveling coil springs for like 130-140 bucks and get an alignment afterwards. You just need 2 camber adjustment nuts that go on the top of the balljoints. Stocker is 1 degree + or - and you can get up to 3 +/-.

Spacers dont sag and settle in like springs will. Go with spacers.

I have heard poor things about the spacers. I think I am gonna pick up a set of skyjacker or superlift 2" coils and swap em in with a new set of shocks and be done with it. Maybe I'll get a 1" taller block in the rear if my trailer makes it sag.

Mustang,

I have a 96 F-150 4X4, manual lock hubs, and am in desperate need of lifting the front end of my truck 2 inches to level it. Would this apply to me or would I need to get leveling springs and new shocks as well ?

If so, who and where would be the best supplier of this type of kit ? I have the quad shock setup on my truck if that helps....

I jad 4wheelparts put the 2" coils in my '95 F-150 about 2 1/2 years ago. And then did an alignment. They made it look much better. But, it's now time to replace the 31 10.5's. My front tires have really worn out on the outsides, i think its hanging like \ /. So i'm getting ready to put new ibeam hangers from JC Whitney ( http://www.jcwhitney.com/item.jhtml?...158517&BQ=jcw2 ). I hope this will correct the issue, any thoughts? Oh, and one of the oem hangers are cracked.

Do you think the stress from the longer springs on stock arms caused that?

It might have been the roll of carpet I ran over on the freeway, the huge hole I fell in while trying to pull my buddy out of the mud, the tree I ran over while chasing some pigs......

I've heard that these hangers could be weak. The new ones look a lot thicker...

LOL, gotcha. But still I would hope they could hang on with just a little beating.
