Do you have any antique bp's? Devin and I were discussing antique firearms the other day. The oldest one I have is a military 1903 Springfield in 30.06.

 

Nothing that old Tim. I wish I did but I dont. I have the two reproduction muskets and my remington 870. My 870 is probably my oldest weapon at about 11 yrs old.

 

I got you. I wasn't sure if your muskets were antiques or not.

 

No they are not. If I had an original I would display it at events. I would use the repro for out in the field. To much risk in something going wrong with an original. Dont need to break a stock or have a barrel blow in my face.

 

Yeah, smart move. Plus it would be a shame to lose a piece of history.

 

That it would Tim. Also the originals are alot more expensive then the repros. Even with a repro I can still face a barrel coming apart.

 

That would be bad. Kinda like Elmer Fudd.

 

I kinda want BP shotgun now, Tim.

Hi all.

I love old rifles. My grandfather collected all the original Springfield armory's rifles (well, all but one). The history of the armory is really interesting too.

Nope. Still looking for the last one. I think it will be damn near impossible to find, but I'll keep looking.
