I'd imagine that's why it happened, but it's been like that since before I got the truck, and hasn't given me any problems till I changed the u-joint. weird.

It may not have seemed to be causing trouble, but if it isn't aligned, it will cause binding and failure over time, not necessarily right away.

I have the second one number dummy. I checked the measurements last night. I'm about to go to the local junk yards here soon and see if I can find one there first.
