thoughts on lift removal

think i want to take the lift off the 91...it was fun while it lasted but now i feel its just completely impractical for what i do with it. i think i might try to sell the Dana 60, crossover steering, 8" lift and 38" tires with the rims all as a package. or just sell the lift and tires and keep the d60 and steering set ups and maybe just do 35" tires.

i have a buddy with a 4" lift and TTB axle with 33" tires and rims that he will sell me for cheap.

what would you guys do?

1) leave it alone
2) bring it down to stock
3) dana 60 and 35s
4) 4" ttb lift with 35s

I would for sure keep the 60, no matter what you do with it, a D60 is about as strong as you can get for any application, I would say sell the lift and put the 35's on

go with stock tire height, depending on gears...if you have 4.10s....go with like 33's at the max, if you got 3.55's....go with stock size, your wallet will like you more.

Those pictures turn me on too much...

I too would do 35's and 60. It's too bad that big beautiful truck has to go down, though. But with the fuel prices and practicality issues, I don't blame you.

I would put it back to stock with stock tires.

Fords need lifts to squat like Chevys.

What do you mean by that?

And again, as far as the 91 goes, you should sell the 8" springs and just do stock or close to stock springs with a shackle reversal.

Not really concerned with the whole gas milage money spending thing, I think it's more about function for me now with this truck.

My buddy with the 35s said we can swap this weekend, and do the springs too. (he has 4" gasser springs, with shackle reversal and flip, and 60s front and rear)

Wait.. no super singles? lol.. ya i know what ya mean on the lift. Will you be looking to get rid of those tires then if theyre decent? BTW i vote keep it jacked up, thing is too tough lookin to mess with imo. If you really need to do something useful with it, you could always buy another idi !

Lol not any more...what tires u talking about? The 38s or 35s? I have enough idis for now lol parents are probably going to buy the 93 off me this summer so I'll need the 91 for an actual truck... To put it to work, use it to haul stuff and still in the market for a trailer. Axle wrap is horrible as is, couldn't imagine it with a trailer hooked up
