1967 F250 Tire Advice!

Hey All -

So my truck finally got here! (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...r-special.html)

Looking like it is going to need some new tires. Current tires are cracking a bit and afraid in the hot Austin heat they are going to go BOOM.

Anyway, looking to get some 4x replacements and not looking to spend a lot of cash (only using it to drive 3 miles back and forth to work while I restore).

That being said, I have two options. If anyone has any experience with either, please let me know. Only a 40 dollar difference between the two (Cooper are the more expensive).

Cooper Discoverer HT - Tire Details - Discount Tire

Primewell Valera HT LTR - Primewell VALERA H/T LTR Tires | Firestone Complete Auto Care

Any advice would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Christian

I'd avoid the Primewell tires, they don't seem to wear well.
Take a look at the Liberators at your local Wal-Mart. They aren't listed online, but I've had them on my truck for about seven years now, and like them. I plan on putting a set on my wife's Explorer this summer as well.
