GB A long time ago I tried a set of wide 15 inch wheels on mine and the rims rubbed the tie-rod ends, can't remember if the offset was 4" or more though.

Thanks, I'am glad the tires came out OK; I took a stab in the dark there.
The rims are 16x7's off a 1994 F250. I also found someone put in an add a leaf for the front springs so I'am going to take them out soon.

 

I'd be more tuned to reliability and safety at this stage of the game rather than originality. Wish I had the all orig 59 4x4 I literally GAVE to a friend in need in 1997. It was rough but all correct and original. I'll keep following your saga and good luck. PS. it appears you have a '60 hood.
