Do any companies make a grille guard for a 90 f250?

ive searched for weeks now and cant find anything
only can find them for 92-97 f series trucks
does anyone know of a company that makes grille guards for 87-91 trucks?
Also i basiacally want a guard so i can mount the two kc daylighters i have sitting around the garage
Has anyone welded light tabs on the stock bumper?
If so could i see some pics
Also is it safe to weld a chrome bumper obviously i would grind off the chrome in the spot i was going to weld but i have heard that welding on it makes smoke thats really bad for your health is this true?
Thanks for taking the time to read this
and if anyone has answers to my questons please post
thanks

If I was a company I'd make you one. However, yes you can weld on the bumper. Of course it's dangerous to breathe in any kind of welding fumes, just don't breath the fumes while you weld on the bumper and weld in a well ventilated area.
My other answer here, is that you could always build some kind of bumper/grille guard yourself with whatever kind of materials you prefer. (C channel, piping, diamond plate, ect)
I made my own and i have the provisions to hook up lights onto the "bull bar" portion of it. After these pictures I finish welded it, got it sandblasted and powder-coated black.

On the left and right side of where it says Ford in the grille I have tabs mounted to that I can hook up lights.

Not sure where you live, but I often see them on trucks at the junkyard.
Craigslist might be another source.

I don't know what the lights look like, but can you drill holes and mount them on the bumper? I've seen this often on vehicles.

i thought about just drilling holes like u said but the bumper is not flat on the top and when i tried to drill straight down the metal was to hard for the drillbit to bite. i may try to drill again this time center punching the holes first. Has anyone actually drilled holes for lights in these bumpers?
If so let me know how u did it and post some pics
thanks

If you just want a grille guard, I see them on CL every now and again. If you want an FER, that is a rare beast. I've been looking for several years now (for used ones) with no luck.

I know JCW used to carry them, it must have been recently that they got rid of them. Summit used to carry some kind of brush guard too and they don't have them either. I've seen people drill holes into the bottom side of the bumper, but that seems like a good way to smash them up.
