In our motors the 'gold' isn't any good and eats away at the sealant under the cups causing them to leak. Yes, a cracked one will do the same. I think, I'll let the guru's chine in.

Just wondering. I've had injectors out but never messed with the cups.
Me too, I don't think you have to mess with them unless they are doing the above. If treated right, they will last a long time. When I did my injectors a million years ago I never even looked down the hole, LOL.
Thanks for all of the info. you guys are awesome. This truck use to be part of a fleet, owned by my old boss, so I have invoices on almost all repairs. Is it weird that only 6 of the 8 injectors have been replaced (that i can prove) 2 of which by me when i purchased it? I have no idea how i can afford new injectors... Anybody want a 80% restored 1973 19 ft Mako Center console? Truck is more important then finishing that project...
Get the cups figured out first. You may not have a injector issue it could be a cracked causing that injector to miss if it's not getting the right amount if fuel
