Best Electric Brake Controller?

I tow a lot of different trailers in some terrain that is slightly uneven, and have a p2 as well as a p3. (2 different trucks). Both work well. I like the controls and readout on the p3. Very simple to adjust. My son likes the p2, this is the truck he drives. Pop, I would recommend the p3 not because it is better or worse than the p2 but because for me the controls are easier to see and adjust while driving.

Those are for the P3. It was listed right on the page linked earlier.
Yes, I still have it and it's holding up quite well. :-)

If you could find a used one, the Jordan Ultimate is the way to go. Unfortunately, Mr Jordan sold out and new owners could'nt take up the slack and quit. Had a wire from the back of the unit to your brake pedal arm and applied the brakes in direct relation to how far you pushed down on the brake pedal. Superb unit. Had it for 9 yrs towing 15k for 178,000 miles,(trlr miles) around the US using both electric & elec/hyd brakes. Reostat wore out on it and could'nt find a replacement and its been replaced these past 2 yrs with a P3. Good unit, but no Jordan.

I've had very good success with the Primus IQ brake controller.

I'd put my vote in for the P2 or P3. Although functionally similar, the P3 features a more intuitive display which is easier to use for the novice, as it'll spell out any faults in the brake system rather than displaying an error code that you'll have to go look up.
The Voyager was a fine controller in its day, my only gripes are that they're hard to set up (they don't self-level) and the display doesn't do a very good job of keeping you apprised of what's happening with your braking system, utilizing a color changing LED rather than an actual alpha-numeric display. It also uses a pendulum-type accelerometer, rather than being solid-state like the P2 and P3. Folks have been using these for years, and although Tekonsha considers discontinuing them every now and then, continuing demand has convinced them to continue producing the Voyager for the foreseeable future.
Colorado350 mentioned the Primus. Good controller, functionally very similar to the P2 without the electric over hydraulic capability and a more rudimentary display.

<<P3>> best non direct link brake controller around.. the boost is a bit touchy especially when in city traffic.
If you have it set on 2 and touch brake it put a bunch of volts to trailer and can jerk you a bit.. I try to remember to turn it off to prevent the suddenness of it.
other than that it a good product and good price.

I saw that too when I posted, but in order to remove the spam or shameless plug for the link, we have posted our updated thoughts on the discussion.
It is quite obvious with 1 post that "George Miles" and "Stephenforeman" are simply attempting to advertise for the links. I believe by posting it here, even if nobody clicks on it, the link is still pushed up the Google search results list.

Don't hesitate to report spam posts. As proven by the one-year old spam post by "George Miles" we don't always see them.

I'm very old school guys (59) and can remember installing the old fashioned controller in my '78 F150 & '79 F250 that actually used a line to tap into the master cylinder and electric also.....this is all there was way back......
This said I have had 2 Voyagers now, 1 in my '94 F150 and the present in my L99 F350.
Like others have said they are looking for a reason to swap to something newer and more modern....
I tow 2 trailers with mine, 1 being a 24' 10,500lb max GVW enclosed car hauler that probably weighs right at 7k with my '65 Mustang inside it.
AND our 36' bumper pull travel trailer that weighs nearly 10k fully loaded.....
Very little adjustment is needed on the Voyager between my 2 trailers......
WHEN it quits I'll check into something newer.....
