Nice job "chuck"
Ive never had a problem w/the Gear Box in either of my SD's but i've heard its fairly common.
Is the Red-Head a suggested more durable replacement & how much
Just curious in case i ever need to replace mine.
Thanks Jswartz! Will check if NAPA in Calgary has this stuff; would be nice... So far have only found an Auto Body supply in Lethbridge that carries it; and has a web page at least... JP

Nice! I like it. The cupholder issue comes up often in my truck. I have a couple in the flop down armrest/table thing in the back but not as handy as that.

Its a life saver with 3 kids cause the fold down thing can't be folded down. Makes a total of 6 cup holders that are ALWAYS available.

Replaced carrier bearing on drive shaft, and all the rubber lines for the back brakes.

Thanks for the Reply

I had actually just set it down to take the pics. Its a Westernfield .22 that was bought from Montgomery Ward when my Grandpa was a young boy sometime around the 1920s.

It took a little longer than a day but, I got the following done to my 2006 PSD.

BPD EGR Cooler.
BPD Oil Cooler System.
STC Fitting.
Standpipes & Dummy Plugs.
Coolant change.

It took 3.5 days to complete but the truck runs great. Have a 400 mile trip tomorrow which will be a good shake down.

Josh
First 400+ mile trip
Ambient air temp: 32 Deg F.
ECT - 188
EOT - 175

Second 400+ mile trip
Ambient air temp of 70 Deg F.
ECT- 190
EOT - 189

I've been happy with the BPD kit so far. It will be really interesting to see how it works in the middle of the summer.
