69 f100

So I just bought a 69 f100. 4x4 4speed on the floor with a 360 2 barrel. Truck is mint shape. Here's my predicament. It's my daily driver because I love it and don't want it sitting in the garage. I realized just how the fuel mileage was and my parts guy has a 302 mustang engine- fuel injected with transmission and computer. It is currently in his 68 and he wants to trade me for my engine and tranny. Any thoughts or suggestions why I should or shouldn't trade him

The 302 is in his 68 f100 so it would only be a matter of pulling the engines, make motor mounts for the 302 in my 69 and wire the computer

just swap him motor towers when you switch motors and wire up computer and sensors.

I think if I was thinking of doing that, (which I would not) he would have to do all the work, & get me ready first. Just me.

I would say no because first your engine is running great! Second if you do all that work and you don't like it your stuck with it. Also, you won't be getting that much better mileage...

my two cents. but do what makes ya happy.
